Brandstrom Instruments' rotary drive electro-optical shutters are used wherever light paths need to be interrupted in a reliable and precise manner. We have designed shutters for many medical applications including laser eye surgery devices and medical fluid analysis machines.

Our shutters are also suitable for spectroscopic and scientific technologies including Raman fluorescence, ICP and Arc Spark, which are used in process control, quality control and forensic analysis.

Medical & Spectroscopy Shutters

We design custom miniature electro mechanical rotary solenoids with blade / vane shutters for Spectroscopy Imaging Systems Sensors. Our laser shutter actuator systems use electromechanical Bi-stable and Self-Restoring miniature rotary solenoids.

Our medical & spectroscopy shutters are used for fluid analysis, raman spectroscopy, and any other scientific application where light blocking or filtering is required.
