Miniature Rotary Solenoids

Brandstrom Instruments designs, develops and manufactures miniature rotary solenoids with 2-position self restoring, 3-position self restoring, and 2-position latching capabilities.

Our rotary solenoids produce motion when the presence, absence, or change in polarity of an electromagnetic field alters the position of a permanent magnet rotor. Based on aircraft specifications, our devices are constructed with the appropriate Class H materials to operate reliably in extreme environments.

The drawing below offers basic dimensions of our rotary solenoids. Typically each solenoid is specified to integrate with our customer's requirements. Functional details such as angular travel, direction, power requirements, mounting and torque are variable features with each application.
