Brandstrom Instruments celebrates its 40th year. On July 8, 2011, shuttle mission STS 135 went into space carrying Brandstrom Instruments shutter solenoid A1071 to the space station for permanent installation on the Star Camera. The 40th Anniversary logo contains a background image taken from the International Space Station.

Thermal Imaging Shutters

Brandstrom Instruments' NUC shutters are found in many high performance thermal imaging cameras, cooled and uncooled, providing internal focal uniformity references. We are currently designing products for next generation technologies, such as:
